IP gateway Jeedom
IP gateway Jeedom
Compatible with Modbus and EnOcean sensors
IAQ sensor EP5000
13 measures and intelligent control of ventilation, heating and air conditioning.
Gateway Operation
The NanoSense probes transmit their data to the gateway.
The on-board software retrieves and translates the data, then stores it in the gateway database.
Data can thus be consulted directly on the gateway, as well as in historical form (curves). They can also be downloaded and/or sent to a remote database (Cloud).
Use
Local supervision to Smart-Building via data transmission for remote supervision : Data collection, historage and display of data, data export (csv, PNG, etc.), room or pollutant comparisons, Scenarios/action plans, Alarms/alerts, But above all, sending data to the cloud
The data collected by the probes is in a format specific to their protocol. The gateway transcribes this data into clear text and sends it to the Cloud.

The Jeedom gateway customized by NanoSense represents a significant advance in the management and processing of indoor air quality data. Here's a detailed description of its operation and features:
Data collection and transmission
- NanoSense sensor integration: NanoSense indoor air quality sensors, which operate via ModBus or EnOcean, are designed to measure a variety of environmental parameters such as CO2, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), fine particles, humidity, temperature and more. These sensors transmit their data to the customized Jeedom gateway.
- Data transmission : Sensor data is sent to the gateway. The gateway stores the information sent by the various sensors in the building in its database.
Data processing and storage
Embedded software :
The gateway is equipped with a library for automatic decoding of probe data NanoSense. Here's how the gateway works and what it can do:
Embedded software operation
- Data recovery : The software embedded in the gateway begins by retrieving the raw data sent by the air quality sensors. These sensors, which can operate via various protocols such as ModBus or EnOcean
- Real-time processing: The software processes this data in real time. This means that as the probes transmit data, the software instantly retrieves it for further processing.
Data translation and interpretation
- Converting raw data : Raw data, in the form of numerical codes, are converted by the software into intelligible information. This conversion involves decoding signals into measurable values such as pollutant concentrations in parts per million (ppm) or temperatures in degrees Celsius.
Data storage on the gateway database
- Local storage of data processed on the gateway database is a crucial element in the operation of the air quality monitoring gateway.
- Time-stamping: After processing by the on-board software, data is time-stamped and stored in the gateway database. The gateway's internal clock is initialized at start-up by an Internet time server, then updated regularly.
- Data structuring : Data is organized in a structured way in the database, facilitating access and retrieval. This structuring can include data sorting by date, time, sensor type and measured parameter, enabling fast, targeted retrieval of the desired information.
User interface and visualization
- Intuitive user interface: The software provides an intuitive user interface that enables users to easily visualize recorded data. This interface can include dashboards, graphs, and other visual tools to make data analysis more accessible. The interface can be accessed remotely via the Internet.
- Historical Data: In addition to real-time data, the software also provides access to historical data. Users can visualize trends over longer periods, which is essential for air quality analysis and informed decision-making.
Advantages of local storage
- Resilience and autonomy: Local data storage ensures high reliability, as it is not dependent on a constant Internet connection. This means that even in the event of network failure, air quality data remains accessible.
- Reduced carbon impact: By storing data locally, we avoid storing data in the Cloud and in data centers that are sometimes far away, and whose carbon impact is not negligible.
- Data security: Local storage offers an extra level of security, as sensitive data is not constantly transmitted over the network. This reduces the risk of hacking or data interception.
Cloud
- Gateway customization mainly consists of converting data and sending it securely in parallel via the cloud to a multitude of IP addresses.
- The use of remote databases enables the use of more sophisticated supervision services such as Big Data.
Conclusion
The Jeedom gateway customized by NanoSense is a powerful tool for managing indoor air quality data, but it is also a real home automation box capable of managing numerous types of sensors, applying scenarios, etc. It offers a complete solution for collecting, processing, storing, consulting and sharing environmental data.
