Who is NanoSense?

Indoor Air Quality under control: Productivity, Energy Efficiency, Health, Sleep Quality and Comfort!

Presentation

<strong style="font-size: 14pt;">NanoSense est une PME francilienne,</strong><strong style="font-size: 14pt; color: var( --e-global-color-7a3176d );"> impliquée depuis 2002 dans la Qualité de l’Air Intérieur(QAI). </strong>

Whether for health, comfort or productivity - the quality of the ambient air plays a major role. That's why it's important to rely on an advanced management of room ventilation. Our company offers different IAQ multi-sensor probes (CO2, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), Temperature, Humidity, Particulate Matter (PM) etc... ) with control algorithms (ventilation and thermal regulation). They are compatible with the main communication standards of residential and tertiary buildings.

Our missions

Making the invisible visible

Our mission is to provide affordable probes that allow visualization and control of Indoor Air Quality, while optimizing efficiency energy.

Our probes are designed for all buildings (new or renovated), offices, schools and for all enclosed spaces...

They provide detailed measurements in real time, thanks to the different communication protocols: LoraWan, Bluetooth, Modbus, KNX, EnOcean...

Founder and visionary of NanoSense

Olivier Martimort, CEO of NanoSense

NanoSense was created by Olivier Martimort after more than 17 years in the management of large military projects and two years on Star Wars in the USA (SDI, Strategic Defense Initiative of Ronald Regan). The trigger: the Chernobyl accident. The populations did not have any means of measuring radioactivity. The first Geiger counters for the general public were thus created at consumer prices without compromising the quality of the measurement. But customers quickly extended the demand to the measurement of air quality and ventilation of parking lots.

After producing tens of thousands of products, the company gradually developed gas calibration tools for mass production and acquired a unique know-how. Indeed, mass calibration is the only way to reduce the cost of calibrating a probe. This know-how around metal oxide solid state gas sensors is quite unique because it allows a precise measurement while the response of these sensors is of logarithmic type which requires a very powerful signal processing and algorithms. This technology has unique advantages: a lifetime exceeding 10 years, no maintenance and a low price.

This know-how is recognized by universities that have asked NanoSense to participate in several European collaborative research programs on new generations of sensors and on algorithms for discrimination and measurement of gases at very low concentrations (< ppb). From now on, NanoSense focuses its research activity on air quality (indoor and outdoor) and the means to represent it in a way that can be understood by everyone. The research and development part represents more than 90% of the activity, the manufacturing being subcontracted, but the calibration, the final assembly and the tests remain a key activity carried out in our premises in Boulogne Billancourt.

Who are we?

NanoSense is a francilienne SME involved since 2002 in indoor Air quality (IAQ). Whether it's for health, comfort or productivity-ambient air quality plays a major role. This is why it is important to rely on an advanced management of the ventilation of the premises. Our company designs and produces different Multi-sensor IAQ sensors (CO2, volatile organic compound (VOC), temperature, humidity, Radon, fine particulates (PM)) with control algorithms (ventilation and thermal regulation) and are Compatible with the main communication standards of residential and tertiary buildings.

Certified ISO 9001, our company satisfies its customers every day with reliable, robust and easy-to-use products. Indeed, the technology implemented for VOC measurement is the only one that guarantees a life span of more than 10 years without recalibration at an affordable cost, because the implementation of semiconductor sensors is the basis of NanoSense's know-how.
